The standards for entrance into the National Honor Society are scholarship, leadership, character, and service. Through this paper I will strive to prove that I possess all of these qualities, and moreover, that I am qualified for entrance into an organization as prestigious as the National Honor Society. After doing some research on the National Honor Society, I learned that one must demonstrate the qualities of scholarship, leadership, character, and service in order to be considered for membership into the National Honor Society. Therefore, by showing that I possess each of these four qualities, I can contribute to the Saints John Neumann and Maria Goretti Catholic High School community as a member of the National Honor Society.

As a candidate for membership into the National Honor Society, I already possess the quality of scholarship. I have received First Honors every quarter since 1st grade, and I earned an average of 95.5 or greater each year. I maintain my high average in school while working two days a week, attending cheerleading practice two days a week, and participating in other activities. Also, I have been taking all honors courses while in high school, and this year I have elected to take two AP courses. While an elementary student at Epiphany of Our Lord School, I participated in the Academic Challenge in 7th and 8th grade, and in the Mathletes Competition in 8th grade.
